Subject

Italian-American, 1943

Description

He can't believe that just 10 minutes ago he was on the phone with her and now he is writing her. He doesn't want her to think he only called to find out with whom she went to the dance. He tells her he trusts her. He hopes he hasn't rushed her into marriage. He lays out their plans and says she can change anything that doesn't suit her. After the furlough they will head to camp in Texas. His letter is filled with giddiness. He jokes about what they will name their children: Boccabella or Chipresi. He had sensed that something at home was wrong and his mother told him his uncle passed away.
