Hello darling, I hope this letter will help you to keep from worring. From the moment I arrived things are moving fast. They told me to pack and leave the next day. When the captain told us that our orders were cancelled. Marrying you has all been good for me. I will not get the extra stripre but I will be acting mess sargent. I'm on restriction and must report to Headquarters. Don't worry because the memories of you keep me going. I'll be sending some of my things home to you. I'm working on your purse. Hope you like it when you get it. I'll write again tonight and remember that I'm so ever so much in love with you. Your loving husband Danny
