Description
Leona sends Danny negatives of pictures of their son so he can see how big he is at 6 weeks of age. She says that as the baby lies in her big bed she imagines it is Danny in a smaller size. Along with recounting the baby's daily eating and sleeping habits, Leona recalls the letter she had written to Danny three years ago on this date, the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She expresses how much she misses receiving letters from him and how she had never thought the war would go on this long.
