Kandyskin III (Read Joyce)
Title
Kandyskin III (Read Joyce)
Description
III. READJOYCE
In a homage to William Byrd, James Joyce and Marilyn Monroe, the cardinal invites the sons of art to rejoyce, for now begins Kandyskin-Salome's Dance of the Seven Veils, seven metamorphoses, unveiling the seven mysteries and seven deadly sins in a fantastic revealing and re-veiling of the increasingly bloodless categories of art.
(A ghastly ballet dance)
[A ghostly belly dance]
Yes. Endnowbegin!
Readjoyce ye sans of art!
Kandyskin Salome will now shed
Her heptaphanous vales of tears [veils of tears]:
A ghoastly ballet of bloodless categories [catty gories]
or revelation [re-veilation].
[PiĆ¹ basso continnuendo]
(transcription of the text in the painting)
