Title
May 18, 1943. Letter from Geo Pumpa to Leona Badia, née De Nardo
Subject
Italian-American, 1943
Description
Geo is responding to Leona's letter which he just received - from 5/3. He has been doing a lot of traveling, most recently form Daggett, CA to Mobile, AL. He remarks how speedy it was by plane, 13 hours and 20 minutes. He comments on the fact that Leona works for Packard. He asks if there are any soldiers learning about engines there and tells her that he does not really like Packard engines, and he regrets that some of the people who work there get paid for doing nothing while coal miners, who are most deserving of raises, do not receive one.
