Description
Leona addresses Danny for the first time as "My Darling (Husband)" . She jokes that she will give him "a good spanking for a welcome instead of a big kiss". She and Danny's mom question the silence between letters and thanks him for a poem he wrote her. Jean and her sister will be coming and staying at Emil's. She praises him for receiving a shooting medal and reminds him to be careful. There is talk of a surprise and also about where people they know are stationed, or those who were sent home on leave. She mentions work at Packard and the sale of his family's house.
