Danny reassures Leona that he does not have a girlfriend there. Her friends have been teasing her. He is convinced that 90% of the girls ther are diseased and he is so scared of contracting syphillis after the movies he has had to view on venereal diseases. He is conflicted because his sister wrote him to ask that he convince his mother not to go to work. While he rather she not work, he thinks that it may keep from worrying.
