Leona acknowledges that she has been receiving the dimes that Danny has been sending in his letters. She has sent him candy and asked that he send cigars and gum if he can. She went to La Bella's and she says that even though Danny aspires to be like she and her husband, Leona is happy as they are now. She tells him not to overwork on getting the purse done for her and lets her know that her colleagues complimented the handkerchief he gifted her for their wedding.
