Title
September 7, 1944. Letter from Leona Badia, née De Nardo to Danny Badia
Subject
Italian-American, 1944
Description
Leona tells Danny that she drank hot chocolate that morning, and that the baby is kicking vigorously. She couldn't write the night before because she has been busy at work. She tells him that the maintenance workers are on strike and the plant is down again; however, her department has been affected and she hopes to continue working that week, her last week at work. Also tells him that Mario wishes he would write to him. She has decided that the baby will be called Danny if a boy or Dianne or Diana, but she has no middle names and would like him to tell her what names he would like. She was happy he liked the poem she sent him and hoped he liked the kiss she sent him on the letter, asked him to kiss her lips and told him she couldn't wait until they could kiss their real lips.
