Description

Q’arikancha by Tom DiSalvo
The title of the actual image is in Quechua (Peruvian dialect) meaning ‘Golden Temple’

^ This website could be of help, since it goes into the origins of the actual purpose of this temple, one of
them being a star temple. So perhaps what is in the middle, is part of the actual temple, although at first
glance it seems as if it would be the insides of a cathedral
Espiritu santo (bottom of the frame)
Hijo (son) (in the center) running into the jaguar, which apparently was perceived as a ‘god’ in Incan and
Mayan cultures

The sword is being inserted into the animal, which is cradling its cub (son)
American flag in background, perhaps? (white stars with a blue sky) but after discovering that it is an
Incan temple devoted to the gods, perhaps the background is pointing to just that. The background is a
celeste blue, with the starts and we see that from the center of the image which is part of the temple
itself.
