Title

December 28, 1944. Letter from Leona Badia, née De Nardo to Danny Badia

Subject

Italian-American, 1944

Description

Leona writes to Danny as the baby lay on the bed. She remarks how she has to tie his hands so he will not suck his thumbs. In the letter she lets Danny know that Alfie has come home on furlough and that his wife is expecting in February. Leona has purchased flashbulbs to take photos since she is not pleased with the quality of the ones that the photographer took of the baby. She admits that she listens to the news all day and sometimes it really worries her. Dominick has come home because he was shot in the face and in the leg.
