Danny apologizes to Leona for having put her in the position of having to answer to his marriage proposal. He tells her he will always love her and that he thinks of her often. He says that he is no longer suffering from heatstroke or thirst, and that he is feeling much better. Danny says that there is a lot of time to think while you’re in the army and that he wishes to see her soon.
